A history of the 1608 Ó Dochartaigh Rebellion where Sir Cahir Ó Dochartaigh, the Ó Dochartaigh clann, and allies rebelled against the English government to protect their land and way of life.

News bulletins from London covering the 1608 Ó Dochartaigh Rebellion

While these do provide important historical documentation, as one can easily see while reading that they are plainly written from the English perspective and contain certain details, for example about Sir Cahir's wife, which would appear to be gathered from her under duress while they captured her or else made up. They also fail to mention the brutal atrocities committed by the English upon the Ó Doghertys just a few years earlier.
